Happy Thanksgiving! (week 4)
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! I hope everyone had an awesome day and ate some good food! Thanksgiving at the MTC was pretty awesome! It definitely hurt to be away from home but the workers here did their best to make it a special day! We had Elder Niel L Andersen come speak to us in the morning and it was so cool! He did such a great job! Then we had thanksgiving dinner at like 11 haha it was good kinda depressing because we were all missing our families but still good! Then we had another devotional about the Light the World campaign which was so cool! After that we did a service project where we made meal packages for hungry families. It was really fun and meaningful! My district was at a table and we were like the slowest table there haha we were strugglin so hard! After that we got sack dinners and got to call our families and what a huge blessing that was! I felt like I got to go home for Thanksgiving. It was amazing. After we got to watch a movie but this nice MTC worker could tell I just wanted to keep talking to my family so he showed me to an empty classroom where I could keep talking to them. He was such a blessing! I am so thankful for that man! Bottom line I talked to them through the whole movie haha! Then we had another devotional which was seriously so cool!! We had two musicians come and sing and play music, one had an amazing voice (and hair) and he sang really beautiful arrangements and the other guy played like hymn mashups on his guitar and that was also so amazing! After that we got to walk around and look at all the Christmas lights that were put up around the MTC! It mainly turned into a heated snowball fight which was awesome! I totally won in case anyone was wondering. Anyways what an amazing day! my district always knows how to cheer me up whenever I am feeling homesick I love them all so much! Another miracle this week was I found my cousin! More like he found me! Elder Rudd arrived and it was so amazing to see him! I haven't seen him since I was little but he's so amazing and he'll be such a great missionary!! Well do I even need to mention the Finnish? Yes it's still impossible and no I still dont get it. But the spirt and Jesus Christ know perfect Finnish and that's all that matters! I love you all so much! Have an amazing week and enjoy the holiday season!
Love,
