Epäjarjestelmällisyyttömättömyylessänsäkäänköhän - that is one of the longest words in Finnish
Is this week 3? I can't even remember! Hello everyone! Sisar Karren here! Yep still here. In Provo. Where I will remain for what seems like forever!
This week was awesome! We had a musical devotional! I replaced my stolen laundry, and I got to conduct a little orientation and a tour for the newbies that came in on Wednesday. It was so much fun! I love meeting all the new missionaries and getting them pumped for how fun the MTC is!
Couple funny stories this week: one day when everyone was about to explode from studying Finnish too long (that's what happens when one studies Finnish for more than an hour) we started making more lists of who we would all be in movies, TV shows, and animals. I was always the villain or a crazy person so that says a lot, haha! And they also put my spirit animal as a hairless cat. Rude! Then another night we all swapped name tags and acted like the person whose tag we were wearing. Elder Stitcher who had mine glared at everyone the whole time and when he wasn't glaring he was pretending to be asleep! For the record!! I never glare at anyone! And I fell asleep once!!! Just once and I immediately woke up because I dropped my pen and scared myself! It was so funny tho so now whenever anyone puts their head down on their desk my teacher Veli Sisko says "wake up Sister Karren". It's pretty hilarious. Another source of entertainment is coming up with our Finnish catchphrases. Mine is lapsi pystyy tekemaan tuota which is the closest I could get to "that is childs play" (That's a little shout out to my snowboarding squad haha).
But anyways life here is good! It's hard work but I love studying Finnish. Every new word I learn and remember is a victory! God blesses us everyday. Whenever I feel down someone will say or share a scripture that will immediately make me feel better. And whenever I see someone from my Oakcrest family, that is a miracle in itself.
Everyone enjoy this next week! Especially Thanksgiving! Enjoy every moment you get to spend with family because I sure regret not appreciating every second that I got to be with my family! I love you all so much! Hei hei!
