October 30th: Reporting to the MTC



Hi mom! I'm alive lol love you! Sisar Elkins is my comp. I already love her! Also we use smart phones in the MTC so I didn't need an alarm clock lol whoops!  hope you're okay. Don't be sad but know I miss you.
Thursday is my p-day but not tomorrow. Idk if I'm aloud to email right now but they gave me a smart phone and didn't say anything about it so I will until they give the rules. (editor's note: that's my girl!)
  This is the last time I'll email until p day but I wanted to fill you in because I don't have p day till next Thursday. I can look at emails or hangouts at any time so if you ever are bored send me an update on life.  I'd really love it and I can look at it anytime, I just can't reply till p day so yeah I have my phone always. There are 10 in my district, two going to Denmark including sister lorentzen's comp and the rest Finland. My miracle today was I was feeling sad right before bed but then Spynx from camp (aka Sister Melanie Price) walked by and we flipped out!! She had been looking for me.  She thought I might have come in today and it was so awesome.  We were like screaming and we got to talk for like 20 minutes.  It made me so so happy anywho I love my roommates and I think I'm going to be happy her.  I love you.  Tell everyone I love them as well! Well I made it to Finland safe and sound! Wow!  I can't even believe it! We are at the mission home now and will be tomorrow too because of the holiday. The flight was long but I got the chance to kinda serve.  I am so grateful for my loving district.  My mission president is the kindest man on the planet earth. He told me he felt prompted to ask me if he could pray for someone in my life. It was super cool.  I already love him so much. His wife is also amazing. I know I will love it here once I make it my home but I know it will also be very hard.  I love you both so much. Know I am safe and taken care of so don't worry and I'll talk to you next week. Is this week 3? I can't even remember! Hello everyone! Sisar Karren here! Yep still here. In Provo. Where I will remain for what seems like forever!   This week was awesome! We had a musical devotional! I replaced my stolen laundry, and I got to conduct a little orientation and a tour for the newbies that came in on Wednesday. It was so much fun! I love meeting all the new missionaries and getting them pumped for how fun the MTC is!  Couple funny stories this week: one day when everyone was about to explode from studying Finnish too long (that's what happens when one studies Finnish for more than an hour) we started making more lists of who we would all be in movies, TV shows, and animals. I was always the villain or a crazy person so that says a lot, haha!  And they also put my spirit animal as a hairless cat. I can't remember how long I've been here....

(editor's note: it's been 5 weeks) Wow! What a week! There were so many ups and downs I don;t even know where to begin! On fast Sunday we had mission conference and it was hilarious.  The second guy that stood up being completely serious he literally was like "I don't want to be here but since I was called I have to be." Haha, so that set the tone for the conference! A couple of the Elders fell asleep on each other it was adorable haha! Sunday night was bittersweet because I had to say goodbye to both my Oakcrest friends who were here and my heart hurt so bad. I am going to miss them so much! But they are going to be FANTASTIC missionaries! Monday was awesome!! We got to host the senior missionaries that came in and it was so fun! We escorted them to their rooms and helped them with their bags and they were so cool! It was just such a fun time to hang with them and my district. Next up Tuesday.
